After an incredible eight years running Aura Accommodation, our team was ready for a new challenge. We wanted something unique — a Rotorua accommodation with character, potential, and a story waiting to be told.
That’s when we found it: a standard corporate motel, quietly operating for years but looking a little tired, in need of fresh energy. Sitting alongside the Waiowhiro Stream, surrounded by towering trees and the gentle hum of birdsong, we could see the possibilities.
Six months later, armed with a vision (and a few paintbrushes), we reimagined the space and Ripple Rotorua was born. The name was inspired by the flowing stream that winds through the property, and with a fresh coat of paint, bold new signage, and crisp uniforms, Ripple began its journey.
