Swimming Year Round

There’s nothing quite like an inviting outdoor swimming pool, right? We keep ours hot in winter (34-38 degrees) and warm in summer (30-34 degrees). Add a few pool toys to keep the kids happy and everyone’s a winner. Having had a recent refresh, this space is a real family memory-maker.

Relaxing Mineral Pools

We harness the rich mineral water from deep below us through an intricate, sustainable system of pipes and pumps, which feed straight into our mineral pools for you to soak in. That’s pretty damn cool. What’s cooler, you ask? Well, these mineral waters are world renowned for their therapeutic and curative properties, so you’ll feel a million dollars (at least we hope you will!) after a bathe.

Clean Green Practices

We are passionate about our environment, and ensuring we minimise our impact on our planet. We have a whole range of sustainable, green initiatives at Aura. We offer in-room sorting facilities for recycling, rubbish and even have a compost. Fancy taking some compost home for the garden? Grab a bag and get shovelling! BBQ Like A Boss

There’s nothing better than standing around the BBQ with a beverage on a hot summer’s day. It even comes in handy for cooking stuff, like the grill master you are. Throw a couple of picnic tables in, and you’ve got an area designed for fun, friends and family. What’s more Kiwi than that?

Local Knowledge Wall

We work hard to ensure we know Rotorua and everything there is to do here. Check out our Locals Wall, packed with great experiences around our region, from the fantastic paid activities and attractions, to the great little walks, best cafes or spot for that perfect photo.

Trampoline

There’s nothing like a trampoline to keep the kids (and adults) entertained for hours. Our fully enclosed trampoline is safe for all ages.

Bike Storage and Wash Station

We can keep your bike safely stored away while not in use, so you can rest easy when it’s out of sight. Our specially-built wash station also means you can keep your two-wheeled whip squeaky clean, to the envy of everyone else in the forest.

Geothermal In-Room Heating

There’s nothing quite like a toasty room. It can get a little cold here in winter, but we reckon we’ve got that covered. All our rooms are geothermally heated, which means no cold toes. We take the geothermal energy on a journey from 120 metres below your feet, to heat the water in the radiators. When you know how it works, you can excuse the smell!

Free Scooter Use

Our free scooters are the perfect way to keep the kids busy when they aren’t in the pool or bouncing on the tramp. Perfect for zooming (safely) around the complex or exploring Rotorua. These are the real deal for holiday fun!

Steam Box Cooking

Fancy having a true Rotorua experience? How about enjoying our geothermal steam box. It’s great for steaming veges and can even cook the perfect chook. It’s a fun way to try something new and memorable. We’ve even got loads of recipes for inspiration.

Grass Area & Games

It’s flat, it’s grassy and it’s a great place to kick off your shoes. Laze about in the sun, kick a ball with the kids, or play a range of our popular lawn games.

Off-Street Parking

We’ve got plenty of off-street parking a short skip to your room. And if you’ve got something extra sized, say a trailer, boat or bus, we can even accommodate that.

Everything in life is best when it’s shared, so that’s why we give our guests free unlimited, ultra-fast WiFi. Keep everyone posted about your adventures at Aura and in Rotorua!

Guest Laundry

Our guest laundry features a washing machine and a dryer. Very original, but what more do you need? Both machines run on $2 coins, but the results? Well, let’s just say you won’t have use the Rotorua sulphur smell as an excuse.
